Dear Mr Bainbridge
In response to the Hayle Town Council objection of 21st April 2020 please see our comments below:
In relation to planning policy we have undertaken extensive dialogue with Hayle Town Council and provided advice from a former senior legal counsel to Cornwall Council which demonstrated that the scheme is policy compliant.
We believe Cornwall Senior Management has written to HTC to support this advice and the advice of yourself.
We understand HTC has taken no advice in relation to any of their comments.  read more »

200323 | Cornwall Council issues advice on dealing with coronavirus waste

Cornwall Council has issued advice for households which have suspected coronavirus infections for disposing of waste.

The authority has issued the new guidance for putting out rubbish to protect people and reduce the risk of spreading infection.

The council has suggested that waste, including tissues and cleaning cloths, should be double bagged and kept aside for three days before they are put outside for collection.

“Kerbside rubbish, recycling and garden waste collections are continuing as normal, and your household waste and recycling centre remains open at the usual times. Please continue to put rubbish and recyclables out for kerbside collection as you would normally.  read more »

Summary:

  • Harmonised restrictions from 1 July to 31 August (two months) between 10:00 to 18:00 hours daily
  • Except where a beach has Blue Flag status in place, when restrictions will apply for longer, from 15 May to 30 September (four and a half months) between 10:00 to 18:00.
  • There is an exception for Porthchapel Beach near Land’s End where current restrictions will be lifted, as requested by the private beach owner.
