Ways to help Angarrack Christmas Lights 2023

The next 3 months are our busiest time of the year as we get ready to display our lights. Visitors often say how wonderful it is to see such community spirit and want to know what goes in to putting the lights up, maintaining, repairing etc so for the next few weeks I will post some of the messages that are sent out to volunteers and photos of what is happening.

Using international wome's day to remind everyone to donate old bras to charity. The wool shop in Pool collects them to take to Africa. If women own underwear, they are considered more wealth and cared for with a male relative in their life. In turn this means they are perceived as 'not alone' ad this are seen as less vulnerable and are less likely to be attacked or raped. So please go buy yourself a new bra and donate your old. Have a good turn out. I'm happy to collect to take to Pool. Or try Oxfam near you

Village Garden club...

Gardening or non gardening fraternity. Would you be interested in meeting locally with a view to forming a village gardening club where residents with an interest in plants can on occasion get together and swap advice, plants, seeds and maybe get on board a garden share scheme and or discuss aquiring land for allotments?
Looking initially to meet on an informal basis to gauge interest. All welcome even if you don't garden but can offer useful advice on any of the above subject.
