HAYLE PENWITH U3A:

Hayle U3A has the following programme this week.  Today, Thursday December 15, at 10am there is games then at 12.30pm for 1pm the U3A Christmas lunch takes place.  On Tuesday December 20 at 10am there is Art then at 2pm the Film club meets. All sessions except Writing are held in the Philip Smith annexe to the Hayle Day Care Centre.  The Writing is held in Hayle Library.

HAYLE YOUTH PROJECT:

Christmas Fayre and Santa's Grotto this Saturday December 17 from 12 to 4pm at Hayle Youth Centre, Highlanes, Hayle. 01736 755790.  Entry is free with craft stalls, children's activities and refreshments. A visit to Santa is £2.50 including a gift. Money raised will go towards holiday activities for local young people.

SINGALONG:

Hayle Friends Children's Hospice South West are holding a Sing long at ASDA Hayle on Christmas Eve December 24 from 10am to 4pm. Please come along and join in for any part of the day you'll be most welcome. Songs will include Christmas favourites - both Carols and songs. Join the wonderful feeling of all that Christmas means. All donations are for Little Harbour the Children's Hospice in Cornwall.

PHILLACK PARISH CHURCH:

The church Christmas tree festival takes place between Tuesday December 20 and December 24 (Christmas Eve) between 2pm and 6pm with refreshments every day. Also on Tuesday, December 20, the community carol service is at 7pm led by Hayle's own Heyl St. Piran Singers. On Saturday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) at 4pm the crib service will finish the Christmas tree festival.

ST ELWYN'S CHURCH:

On Friday December 16, at 7pm: Festival of nine lessons and carols followed by mince pies and mulled wine. On Sunday December 18, the fourth Sunday of Advent the Parish Eucharist will be celebrated by the Reverend Sharon Clifton at 9.30 am. On Wednesday December 21, Said Eucharist is at 10 am. with Father Malcolm Uren. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after each service.

ST.JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, HAYLE:

St Joseph's Church in Hayle is part of the Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Family. Father Philip celebrated the 6.30pm Mass on Saturday December 10 with readings from Isaiah - James and gospel by Matthew.

There will be Mass on Friday December 16 at 10am.

Christmas Mass is on Saturday December 24 at 6.30pm.

The carol service held at St Elwyn's was a very successful event.  Just over £80 was collected and shared between St Joseph's and St Elwyn's.
