HAYLE PENWITH U3A:

Hayle U3A has the following programme this week.  Today, Thursday October 13, at 10am there is History and Writing then at 2pm the Social event "Forensic Art" with Bob Wilcox takes place.  On Tuesday October 18 at 10am there is Art then at 2pm Poetry Reading. All sessions except Writing are held in the Philip Smith annexe to the Hayle Day Care Centre.  The Writing is held in Hayle Library.

HAYLE FILM CLUB:

Our Little Sister.  Thursday October 20 at 7.30pm

From the director of Like Father Like Son, this is a charming Japanese tale of family found. At the funeral of the father who deserted them, three grown-up sisters meet their younger half-sister and take her under their wings. A beautiful, subtle portrait of family relationships. Subtitled

HAYLE IN BLOOM:

Eleven excited Hayle in Bloom Volunteers attended the recent RHS and South West in Bloom Awards Ceremony, which was held in Taunton.

Hayle in Bloom is proud to announce that they won a Gold Award, 14 Outstanding "In Your Neighbourhood Awards", as well as one Thriving Award, and one Advancing Award, and also a Gold Award for Business Pleasure Tourism. Everyone is over the moon that all the hard work paid off.

ST ELWYN'S CHURCH:

On Sunday October 16, the Twenty first Sunday after Trinity the Parish Eucharist will be celebrated by the Reverend Sharon Clifton at 9.30am.

On Wednesday October 19, Said Eucharist will be celebrated at 10am.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after each service.

 

ST.JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, HAYLE:

St Joseph's Church in Hayle is part of the Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Family. Father Philip said the 6.30pm Mass on Saturday October 8 when the readings were from Kings - Timothy and gospel by Mark.

There will be no Mass on Friday October 14.

The Russian Choir from St Petersburg will be visiting Penzance again for another excellent evening of music on Monday, October 17 at 7.30pm.
