The inquest into the death of Steve Summerside at Falmouth docks last year will be heard by a jury in the autumn. Although no criminal manslaughter charges will be brought by the Crown Prosecution Service, the Health and Safety Executive is still investigating the matter and may bring a prosecution of its own. A man snatched 75 gammon, beef and lamb steaks worth £400 from supermarkets to feed his heroin habit.
