Police statement after collision in Basset Road, Camborne

 

A 65-year-old was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a two vehicle collision in Camborne on the weekend.

Police were called to the incident which took place on Basset Road in the town, shortly before 1pm on Sunday, April 24. 

A car and a motorcyle were involved in the collision. The 65-year old
rider of the motorycle suffered serious injuries and was taken to
hospital.

The police then undertook a full forensic investigation at the scene to work out how the collision took place. 

The force are now appealing for any witnesses who may have relevant information to come forward. 

A statement from the Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were
called shortly before 1pm on Sunday 24 April following a two-vehicle
collision on Basset Road in Camborne.

"The collision involved a grey Seat Ateca and a black Lexmoto Michigan motorcycle.

"The rider of the motorcycle, a 65-year-old man, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

"A full forensic investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of the collision.

"Officers would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene. 

"Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the
time and anyone with relevant information to contact police

April."
