An Angarrack woman who has survived cancer twice is getting ready to take part in her second London Marathon.

Last year Sylvie Pickering power-walked the 26.2-mile course to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, and the year before she took part in the Playtex Moonwalk, walking through central London at night wearing a decorated bra.This year, on Sunday, April 13, she is hoping to raise at least £1,500 for Children's Hospice South West's Precious Lives Appeal.  read more »

Ten members of the moveable feast club met at the Angarrack Inn at lunchtime recently, and were made to feel most welcome by the publican, who served delicious Aga-cooked food, in comfortable surroundings. Thanks to Hilda Bolitho who makes all the arrangements.
