DOWRICK AWARD:
Mike Dowrick has been awarded the most improved male runner at Hayle Runners for the second successive year.
Mike, from Angarrack, has continued to build upon a great season in 2011 to again win the coveted shield from the 300 strong Hayle Runners team.
Men's team captain Scott Abraham said: "Mike is one of the longer standing members of the club and in the last two years in particular he has focused on his running and this has resulted in some excellent performances in races.
"He now regularly features in the top six of our members in races. To be able to improve in this way for two consecutive years is a real achievement and he is a worthy winner.
"He has improved his personal best over the whole range of distances."
