Hayle Mayor Slams Boundary Changes

The Mayor of Hayle says proposed boundary changes by
Cornwall Council could leave large areas of the town and surrounding
area without effective representation in County Hall. Plans under
consultation would see one Cornwall Councillor representing most of
Hayle, and another the huge area of Gwithian, Connor Downs, Eastern
Hayle and the area to the south of the town.  read more »

Hayle Neighbourhood Plan - Adopted June 2018

Hayle Neighbourhood Plan

UPDATE: The Hayle Neighbourhood Plan has been adopted by Cornwall Council, effective from 20 June 2018.

The referendum for the Hayle Neighbourhood Plan took place on 24 May 2018 and 89.4% of those who voted, voted YES.

The plan will now be passed to Cornwall Council for adoption.

There were 1358 votes cast out of an electorate of 7,071 for a turnout of 19.2%.
YES votes: 1214 89.4%
NO votes: 142 10.5%
Spoiled: 2 00.1%
