POTENTIAL buyers are being sought for a village pub.

Angarrack Inn, owned by St Austell Brewery, closed last month when the former tenants took on the running of another pub within the chain.

Angarrack Inn which is being sold by St Austell Brewery.

With no interest from other tenants, the company has decided to sell the premises.

A brewery spokesman said: "The business has been struggling for the last couple of years now.

"We don't like selling anything but if we, or more specifically our tenants, can't make a living wage, then it's not a business we are going to keep in the long run. We have taken the decision to move on and let someone else take up the opportunity."

He said that there was interest in the venue, with potential buyers stating their aim was to reopen it as a pub.

The pub will remained closed until a sale has been agreed.
