Hayle Film Club - our Next Screening will be on Saturday, 9 November, at 7.30pm, the French-language hit "In the House" (rated 15), directed by Francois Ozon and starring Kristin Scott Thomas. upstairs in the Passmore Edwards Institute, Hayle Terrace.
Ken Loach's excellent documentary "The Spirit of '45" (rated U, for a general audience) thrusts viewers back in time to the immediate post-war years, when Britain's workforce came together to rebuild the country and form a united front under the Labour movement.

A psychological thriller and social satire about a schoolteacher who invites his creative-writing student home to entertain the family with stories of dans la maison that get more wildly inventive – Alors! -It can only end badly. In French with English subtitles.
The evening screenings will be followed by free homemade refreshments.Tickets are £5 per person (no concessions), or £4 for members, and can be bought from the Bean Belt (Penpol Terrace), or by calling Sarah Turk on 01736 752319, or online at www.haylefilmclub.org.uk. Tickets on the door are subject to availability.
