160216 | Victims of flooding in Hayle appeal for Environmental Agency to take action over river | The Cornishman:

We have been given the green light to set up a new event in Hayle! This is super exciting and we have now submitted a license application for Harbour Fest Hayle the first weekend in August 2018.

This event is being run by local individuals, in our spare time and we are not running this event with any other organisations or past events previously held here. We are trying to make this happen on the North Quay and with the dates 3rd & 4th Aug.

We would love to get as much support locally as we can for this event and want to involve local groups, bands, dance groups, food folk and anyone else who thinks they can help make this a brilliant event for everyone.

Harbour Fest Hayle just wanted to get out there that this event is a stand alone event. We are not associated with Oxfam events being run at this time, events at Hayle rugby club or any events companies previously mentioned. We do wish them well with their events though and what an exciting weekend for Hayle! Due to the popularity of the dates held last year we wanted to keep these dates. We are literally local people trying to put on an event to benefit local people and businesses.

Harbour Fest Hayle is happy to let you all know that the Council Events Team are happy with the information we have submitted!! We have had some really positive feedback from the authorities regarding the festival and this means exciting things can start happening!
We have the Hayle Lions, RSPB, Harbour Authority and The Women’s Institute all involved in one way or another giving us some real local presence. We are really hoping we can make some connections with the RNLI if anyone can help.

Over the next few weeks we will announce bands  and we are now looking for craft stalls and food stalls. If you are interested please inbox Harbour Fest Hayle and we will get back to you.

Craft pitches are £150 for the 2 days including electric all stalls will be located in the 1 arena not separate you can start selling on the Friday from 4 until we close at 12 pm and Saturday 10am till 11 pm
